The Pearl - Sunday Brunch

AHHHH….Gorgeous sunny morning for a Sunday brunch with my girls at The Pearl in the Short North. I decided to step up the outfit a bit for a downtown brunch and wore a strapless sundress and I was glad to see my girls dressed up a bit too for our Sunday outing.

We headed downtown and were just amazed by the fresh trendy feel of The Pearl. Get out of the suburbs ladies ;) We were seated immediately since we had a reservation. Sunday brunch is the perfect excuse for morning cocktails! Mimosas, Grapefruit Punch, Bellini and of course….the made from scratch Bloody Mary with a sidecar of Miller High Life. The High Life bottle was so darn cute.

Lots of menu items, but Cameron Mitchell’s invited me to review the brunch and they picked out our foods to sample. We started off with the spoon bread and deviled eggs. Deviled eggs were spot on with a little spice kick.

After we enjoyed our appetizers and gossip :), the parade of brunch dishes began. We were treated to Huevos Rancheros, Tavern Bennies, Buttermilk Pancakes and Chicken and Waffles. While we were passing our yummy food around the Dining Room Manager, Cliff came by and checked on us! Then Natalie the Sous Chef stopped out to say hello to our table. Total Rockstar Blogger Babe treatment!

As we enjoyed the food we took in the atmosphere of the full view kitchen and the open air seating up front on High Street. The Pearl is definitely the happening hot spot of The Short North. After tasting everything I asked what the favorite was….and everyone BUT ME said Huevos Rancheros. The Huevos Rancheros were good but I was in love with the Buttermilk Pancakes and the Bacon. The pancakes had a hint of lemon and I love lemon. We were stuffed full and totally in awe of The Pearl’s brunch then… dessert showed up. LOL

Brown Sugar Pie, Lemon Meringue and Jeni’s Vanilla Ice Cream. Brown sugar Pie was the best dessert I have tasted in a long time. Make sure and save room for dessert! SMAC Approved!
