We recently asked our Vice President of Food and Beverage, Executive Corporate Chef and all around expert-on-all-things-culinary Brian Hinshaw for his predictions on what will be the hottest food and restaurant trends of 2017. We are pleased to present his musings below (in no particular order).

Our chefs work year-round to ensure our menus feature seasonal, innovative and, most importantly, delicious food. Creating seasonal additions to our menus involves traveling and sampling fare from around the world for inspiration as well as brainstorming, creating, testing and perfecting dishes before serving them to our guests.

We’ve been working for months, testing and perfecting our newest seasonal additions for fall and they’ve already been popping up on our menus. Here’s a sampling of some of my favorite items that are already available or soon to come!

We are excited to announce a new bourbon, exclusive to The Barn, created in collaboration with Watershed Distillery, Waugh Family Cellars and our beverage team.

A true champion of elevated guest experience, Alex Schultz is the General Manager for Cameron Mitchell’s newest Ocean Prime location, slated to open October 2016 in Washington, D.C. 

A fan of many cuisines, Executive Chef Jason Shelley’s passion for food adventure is the secret ingredient behind his success in multiple kitchens.  His travels include a year-long journey through Spain in between time spent with Ocean Prime.
Alissa Atkinson remembers some pivotal career advice in her restaurant journey:
