Our chefs are always hard at work creating new, seasonal dishes to keep our menus fresh and exciting. Check out this sampling of our newest items featuring the flavors of spring and summer.

We are thrilled to have the unique opportunity to partner with Anderson Farms in Granville to cure our own authentic Italian charcuterie. Anderson Farms’ owner, James Anderson has become somewhat of a local food celebrity in the Columbus area. In addition to running the ever expanding Anderson Farms, he’s a seasoned cook, owns the award-winning Rayray’s Hog Pit food truck, builds and rebuilds food trucks and mentors several new food truck owners in the area.

For a limited time this summer, The Guild House is featuring two remarkable Copper River Salmon dishes. We have partnered with the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute to offer fresh, wild-caught Copper River Salmon during its peak season. Copper River Salmon is a highly sought after, premium-quality product that is only available for a short period of time each year. This type of salmon is particularly rich in heart-healthy Omega-3 fatty acids and is known for its rich, savory flavor and deep orange-red color.

Mark Lagergren of Mark Metal Works has been a local artisan partner of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants for nearly two decades. We’ve featured his custom steel and glass artwork in many of our restaurants, including The Guild House.

We are always looking for opportunities to support and promote our associates’ interests outside of their work life. We encourage these endeavors as we know that a well-balanced life that allows for time and energy to be spent doing things we love is what makes people genuinely happy. We were thrilled to discover a hidden talent in Holly Harrah, who works as an internal auditor in our home office. Holly is a gifted photographer who stumbled across her talent with a single photograph, titled Manhattan with Johnny.

Grilling is a wonderful American pastime. Who doesn’t love to prepare and enjoy a casual summer meal with friends and family in your own backyard? Grilling is simple, but there are a few secrets to doing it right. I’ve put together a few tips and tricks, as well as some common pitfalls to avoid that should help take your grill skills to the next level.

We recently debuted our new Sunday Supper at Marcella’s Polaris – a family-style meal for everyone to share – available all day on Sundays.

The annual Capital City Half Marathon is this weekend in Columbus – and this year’s race is particularly exciting. Just 12 years since being founded in 2004, the Cap City Half is host to the USA Track & Field Half Marathon National Championships for this year and next. The honorable distinction will bring elites and distance runners from around the country, including current Olympians and professionals.

We recently had a chance to chat with Executive Chef Jon Deutschle of Marcella’s Short North about some exciting new menu items at Marcella’s his culinary background as well as his passion for food and being a chef.

I was destined to love eating steak – my parents were amazing cooks and steak was on the menu at least twice a week. No complaints here!
