Hot Buttered RumWhen the temperatures drop, this cocktail will warm you up from the inside out!

Hot Buttered Rum

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces Mount Gay Rum
  • 2 tablespoons butter rum batter (recipe below)

Method:

  1. Heat a glass mug in hot water for 30 seconds
  2. Pour in rum, add butter rum batter
  3. Add hot water
  4. Stir until dissolved
  5. Garnish with a stick of cinnamon

Butter Rum Batter

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups light brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method:

  1. Mix all ingredients by hand in mixing bowl until well combined
  2. Refrigerate in an airtight container until needed
