Line Cook | Ocean Prime Troy
Alana Steen has worked at Ocean Prime as a line cook since it opened in 2008. She joined the team with many years’ experience as a sous chef – most recently at the Motor City Casino where her husband also worked as the executive chef. Because she and her husband were both working the same hours at the Casino, Alana wanted to work somewhere with more freedom and flexibility so that she could spend time with her children.
Alana values the “associates first” philosophy that is characteristic to Cameron Mitchell Restaurants. She says that unlike other restaurants, she feels that at Ocean Prime, the associates have a voice and that she feels her opinions matter.
