Our Story

COLUMBUS, Ohio (March 30, 2015) – Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) is excited to welcome Steve Weis, of Powell, Ohio, as CMR’s director of development. The veteran restaurant executive joins the CMR bringing more than 30 years of experience working with national corporations and restaurant brands.

“Our company has an aggressive growth strategy planned for years to come, and we’re very excited about our future and how Steve will be able to help us achieve our goals,” said David Miller, executive vice president, CMR. “Steve’s more than 30 years of experience coupled with his proven ability to plan, implement and oversee development strategies is exactly what we need as we expand our brand coast-to-coast.”

Weis will be responsible for providing strategic direction on development in expanding the multiple brands CMR manages.

“I am thrilled to take on my new role with Cameron Mitchell Restaurants,” said Weis. “There are many incredible developments on the horizon, and I’m excited to help grow CMR to make it one of the most successful restaurant companies in the nation.”

Weis most recently served as president of Max & Erma’s. Prior to Max & Erma’s, Weis was regional vice president at Thomas & King, one of the nation’s largest Applebee’s franchises. Weis gained valuable experience as senior vice president of operations at Jillian’s Entertainment where they developed over 40 new locations in just six years.

Weis earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in public communication from the American University in Washington DC in 1987. He resides in Powell with his wife and their two children where he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
