Sous Chef | Hudson 29 Upper Arlington
Bryan Ely was first introduced to Cameron Mitchell Restaurants when we started the culinary apprenticeship program at Columbus State Community College. With this program, he needed to be working in the restaurant industry full time. He decided to look into CMR and became very intrigued by their story.
This process landed Bryan at Molly Woo’s Asian Bistro where he started off working in the sushi station in September 2011. He soon learned all other stations at the restaurant, proving to be a very versatile and skilled member of the team.
While wrapping up his schooling at Columbus State in March of 2014, Bryan was offered the opportunity to open a sushi station at Hudson 29 in Upper Arlington. He juggled being the sushi station lead trainer while graduating and getting a degree in hospitality management and becoming a certified sous chef.
Bryan soon became a supervisor at Hudson 29 and in May of 2017, got promoted to sous chef. From the start, he was drawn to the fact that CMR has vast opportunities within many different concepts. He enjoys the fact that the team truly lives the company philosophies as it makes the work experience one full of enjoyment and many possibilities.
